Participants can expect to work collaboratively and on their own to create miniature artworks over the course of the week.

This summer, let your child’s imagination run wild at Ulna Studio’s Art Camp.

Spaces are limited, so sign up today and get ready for a week of artistic adventure!

*Materials are included in class cost, we welcome donations of cardboard/recycled materials that can be used collectively to create work (toilet paper rolls, plastic bottles, etc). Students should bring lunch and a water bottle.

About the instructor:

Christine “Teeny” Conway wants to invite students on the journey to discover what it means to be an artist and how we can use our intrinsic creativity to heal ourselves and the world around us. Teeny has spent most of the last 10 years working as a Portland Public Schools elementary school teacher, as well as teaching art to middle and high school students at Pacific Crest Community School. In those years, Teeny witnessed in their students an inherent desire to play, create, and build off one another’s ideas. They enjoy making a wide variety of art – featuring bold colors and lines, big feelings, abstract shapes, paint, colored pencils, paper collage, woodblock prints, poetry, the list goes on and on (and will keep going on forever and ever).

About the classroom space:

Ulna studio is a creative space located on the 2nd floor of the Portland Storage Building at 215 SE Morrison St. There is elevator access upon arrival for your in-person class, but exiting students have the option to walk down a stairway.
