Description
Join us for an exclusive demonstration with special guest artist Jai Sallay-Carrington, who is visiting the studio from their home base in Canada, following their presentation at the NCECA conference this year! In this 2 hour demo, Jai will showcase their unique approach to sculptural ceramics, transforming a simple cylinder vessel into a stunning wolf head using slab-building techniques.
The demonstration will focus on capturing expressive facial details such as the eyes, snout, and teeth while also exploring various methods to create realistic fur textures. This session is ideal for ceramic artists looking to incorporate sculptural elements into functional forms or anyone curious about innovative ways to work with clay.
This demo is a wonderful opportunity to observe, learn, and be inspired by Jai’s unique approach to figurative sculpture. With a shorter time commitment and accessible pricing, it’s the perfect way to deepen your artistic knowledge and connect with an internationally known working clay artist and the Radius Art Studio community.
