Description

This course will provide instruction on creating realistic charcoal portraits based on photographs. Students will learn various strategies for creating photo-based drawings that have a balance of realism and personal expression.

Students will provide their own source images or use some from Nicole’s collection.

Images can be emailed to hello@nullnicolewilliford.com at least 24 hours before the workshop so that she can prepare and print the images.

This course will provide the basics to a beginner or build on an experienced artist’s knowledge. It will benefit anyone who wants to explore the special qualities that result from drawing from a photo.
