Description
Beginners welcome! In this fun 5 week intro printmaking workshop you will be immersed in two very accessible printmaking techniques – Tetra Pak Collagraph and Monotype. In the first half of the course, we’ll explore making collagraph using recycled materials like milk cartons! You’ll learn how to create texture and tone and how to print with soy based ink. In the second half of the course, you will learn the amazing technique of monotype to build upon your collagraph prints. There will be plenty of time for play and experimenting. A small list of stationery items will be required to be brought to class by students (e.g. scissors and exacto knife etc), otherwise all material costs are included. No drawing experience necessary. All levels welcome. Please note: this class is suitable for both experienced artists/printmakers who want to expand on their techniques and beginners who want to try their hands on printmaking
