Unleash your creativity and love for your furry friends in this hands-on Ceramic Pet Dish Workshop, led by the skilled instructor Jess Faulk. This workshop is an excellent chance for participants of all skill levels to delve into the world of ceramic art, creating a functional and personalized item for their beloved pet.
Jess Faulk will guide you through using a custom template and the slab-building method to craft a unique ceramic dish. You’ll learn the basics of slab construction including how to properly roll out slabs, joining pieces of clay, and using underglazes and stamps to decorate your work. We will fire and glaze your piece in a food-safe, dishwasher-safe, clear glossy glaze for you to pick up after firing.
No Experience Needed, All supplies Included. This workshop is open to ages 18 and up.
Bonus Additional Open Studio Session! It is best not to rush the drying process so you will have the opportunity to return for a free Open Studio Session the next day or the following week to finish up independently. Choose one of the Open Studio timeslots:
Sunday 1/26 (10-2 PM)
Thursday 1/30 (5-9 PM)
Friday 1/31 (4-8 PM)
Saturday 2/1 (1-5 PM)
Sunday 2/2 (10-2 PM)
Pickup of Finished Work: Your completed pieces will be ready for pickup Feb 27th-Mar 23rd, during open studio hours. This allows time for the necessary multi-step firing and glazing process. Remember to mark your calendar for the pickup window, as we do not send out notifications. You can collect your pieces during our open hours: Thursdays 5-9 PM, Fridays 4-8 PM, Saturdays 1-5 PM, and Sundays 10 AM-2 PM.
